Voice Input Issues

1. Microphone Not Detected

  • Browser (Panel) — the first use prompts for permission; you must allow.
  • If previously denied, click the lock icon in the URL bar → Site settings → Microphone → Allow.
  • Desktop: on macOS, tick DYNARA in System Settings → Privacy → Microphone.
  • Mobile: System Settings → DYNARA → Microphone → enable.

2. Recording Silent / Transcription Blank

  • Confirm the system audio input device is correct (Bluetooth headsets often need manual selection).
  • Environment too noisy or volume too low — the engine returns empty string.
  • Speak close to the mic, and pause ~1s between sentences.

3. Many Transcription Errors

  • Default engine uses a mixed Chinese/English model; pure Taiwanese, Cantonese or dialects reduce accuracy.
  • Correct proper nouns and names by typing.
  • If a repeated word is frequently misheard, switch from "continuous dialog" to "utterance-by-utterance" mode.

4. Desktop Global Hotkey Doesn't Respond

  • Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts — confirm the hotkey isn't taken by another app (e.g. Spotlight, IME switch).
  • Try a different hotkey.
  • On macOS, tick DYNARA in Privacy → Accessibility and Privacy → Input Monitoring.

5. Continuous Mode Drops Mid-Conversation

  • Usually network jitter drops the WebSocket.
  • The app auto-reconnects and shows "Paused"; tap the mic once to continue.
  • Some corporate networks block audio streaming — try a personal hotspot.
