File Attachments

Beyond typing, you can attach images, PDFs or other files in chat so the AI can read the contents directly.

How to Attach

  1. Click the "📎" icon next to the input, or drag a file onto the chat window.
  2. Once the thumbnail or filename appears above the input, add a text prompt (e.g. "Please summarize this PDF").
  3. Hit send — the file goes to the AI alongside the message.

Supported Formats

  • Images: PNG, JPG, WebP — the AI can view them, OCR text inside, and identify contents.
  • Documents: PDF, plain text, Word, Markdown — the AI reads the content to answer.
  • Spreadsheets: CSV, Excel — the AI can organize or compute as instructed.

Size & Count Limits

  • Per-file limit depends on plan, typically 10 MB to 50 MB.
  • Total storage counts against the "File storage" quota — see Quotas & Limits.
  • One message can carry multiple files, bounded by the combined size.

How the AI Uses Files

During a task the AI may re-read your uploads repeatedly, write extracts into long-term memory, or quote from them in replies. For very large files the AI may extract key parts before continuing — this is normal.

Delete & Manage

Panel's "Database" or "Settings → Files" shows every uploaded file and lets you reclaim space.

TIP

All three platforms support attachments: Panel supports drag-and-drop, Desktop can pick from local disk, and the mobile app can upload straight from the camera or photo library.
