Chat Basics
Chat is your primary way of interacting with the AI. This page covers how messages are sent, how replies arrive, and behaviors that are consistent across all three platforms.
Sending Messages
Type in the input at the bottom of the chat and press Enter (or click Send). Use Shift + Enter for a newline. The message appears in the thread immediately.
How Replies Arrive
The AI replies as a single complete message, not word by word. Most replies come within seconds; if the AI has to run a task or use tools, it can take ten seconds up to a minute or two.
Thinking Indicator
While the AI processes a more complex request, a "Thinking…" indicator appears below the message list showing the current step (e.g. "Checking the weather", "Searching data"). This is live progress, not an actual message — it disappears once the task finishes.
Timestamps & History
- Each message shows a send time; hover for the full date.
- History is stored server-side — Panel, Desktop and the mobile app all show the same thread.
- Switching devices or clearing browser data will not lose messages.
Scrolling & View
Chat stays pinned to the latest message by default. If you scroll up to read older messages, a "Back to latest" button appears in the bottom-right corner.
TIP
Within one workspace, chat is shared across all three platforms: start a question on mobile and pick up the progress on Panel.
