Desktop Issues

1. Install Blocked by OS

Windows

  • SmartScreen warns "Unknown publisher": click "More info → Run anyway".
  • Antivirus (Kaspersky, Norton) false positive: whitelist the installer.

macOS

  • "Can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer": System Settings → Privacy & Security → click "Open Anyway".
  • Apple Silicon (M-series) — download the arm64 build; Intel Macs — download x64.

2. White Screen on First Launch

  • Usually initial resources haven't finished downloading — wait 30 seconds and relaunch.
  • Still blank: delete user data and reopen:
    • Windows: %APPDATA%\dynara
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/dynara

3. Browser Redirect After Login Doesn't Come Back to the App

  • Confirm the system default browser is set correctly and allows the custom URL scheme (dynara://).
  • If it never switches back, the login page has a "Copy code" option — paste it into the Desktop app manually.

4. Local Folder Channel Can't See Files

  • Confirm the folder path is correct with read/write permission (especially on macOS — ~/Documents and ~/Desktop need authorization in Privacy settings).
  • Cloud-synced files (iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive) still downloading appear as placeholders to the AI; wait for sync to finish.

5. High CPU / Memory

  • Reload via menu → View → Reload after long sessions with many tabs.
  • If persistent, report to [email protected] with the latest logs from menu → Help → Open Logs.

6. Auto-Update Failed

  • A restart usually retries successfully.
  • Corporate networks may block update servers — download the latest installer manually from dynara.io/download and install over the top (your data is preserved).
